The consultation page
The government invites us all to respond to their consultations. They have dozens of consultations open at any one time.
I’m going reply. Well, it would be rude not to, surely?
I’m going to start with the consultations about tax (because that’s the area of government I know most about) and then work my way through them. How many consultations does the government produce in a year? Who replies to them? And, more importantly, do they actually take the views of Joe and Joanne Public into account?
